Turkiye: Officially the Republic of Turkiye, is situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, boasts a rich tapestry of history, culture, and geography. With a heritage dating back to ancient civilizations, it has witnessed the rise and fall of empires, from the Byzantines to the Ottomans. Istanbul, straddling two continents, encapsulates this fusion of East and West. The country is adorned with architectural marvels like Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Turkiye’s diverse landscapes range from the stunning beaches of the Mediterranean to the otherworldly landscapes of Cappadocia. Renowned for its cuisine, Turkish delights tantalize taste buds, reflecting a culinary heritage that mirrors the nation’s diversity.
I have traveled to Turkiye many times since 2015 and visited Ankara, Bursa, Istanbul, and Izmir.
